Zhanzhi Group helps Guangxi’s first wide and heavy plate surface pretreatment production line officially go into production
On August 12th, Guangxi Steel celebrated a significant milestone with the grand opening ceremony of Liugang Industrial’s wide and heavy plate surface pretreatment production line. As the thick plates rolled off the production line through fully automated shot blasting, painting, and constant temperature drying, the ceremony marked the full commissioning of Guangxi’s first wide and heavy plate pretreatment line, successfully filling a production gap in this area.
Located at Liuzhou Iron & Steel’s Fangchenggang base, the project is led by Liuzhou Iron & Steel Industrial Company and fully supported by Shanghai Zhanzhi Industrial Group. The production line, covering approximately 7,000 square meters and with a designed annual processing capacity of 200,000 tons, incorporates leading domestic full-process intelligent and automated production technologies. Its integrated processes, including automated shot blasting, scale removal, automatic painting, and constant-temperature drying, significantly enhance the product’s surface quality and corrosion resistance.
As a supporting production line for pretreatment of Guangxi Steel’s 3800mm thick and heavy plate products, this line not only effectively meets the surface pretreatment needs of Guangxi Steel’s thick and heavy plate for shipbuilding, but also provides customized treatment services based on customer requirements, precisely matching the material standards of different industries. Our products are widely used in a variety of fields, including shipbuilding, equipment manufacturing, and engineering machinery, contributing to the quality upgrade of Liuzhou Steel’s thick and heavy plate products and the continued growth of economies of scale.
The completion and commissioning of this production line demonstrates Liuzhou Iron and Steel Group’s pragmatic approach to extending, supplementing, and strengthening its steel processing supply chain. It also represents a significant step in its transformation toward high-end, intelligent, and green production. We believe this will positively impact the “four million tons” product upgrade project, particularly the expansion of its shipbuilding and marine steel business.
At the commissioning ceremony, Sun Jinzhong – General Manager of Zhanzhi Group, Chief Accountant of Liuzhou Iron and Steel Group and Wang Qi – External Director, along with other leaders and guests, witnessed this historic moment. We look forward to working hand in hand with partners from all walks of life to create an even more brilliant future!
