The production of black square steel pipe begins with steel strip undergoing technological processing. After uncoiling, flattening, curling, and welding, it becomes a round pipe, which is subsequently roll-formed into a square section and cut to the required size.

The raw form of Black Iron Steel Pipe is the uncoated square pipe prior to galvanizing. For hot-dip galvanized square pipe, hot rolled steel strip is first uncoiled, flattened, curled, and welded into a round pipe, which is then rolled into a Black Steel Pipe square section. This black square pipe is then sent to a galvanizing plant for high-temperature dipping at 1000°F. Only pipes with a wall thickness of 2mm or more can undergo this hot-dip galvanizing process.
