



The production of Galvanized Pipe involves dipping steel tubes into molten zinc, where a metallurgical reaction bonds the zinc to the base metal. Before this step, each pipe goes through an acid bath to strip away mill scale and surface rust. After pickling, the pipes are rinsed in a solution—typically ammonium chloride, zinc chloride, or a blend of both—to prepare the surface for plating. They then enter the hot-dip bath, where the zinc coating forms.
This method delivers three key benefits: uniform coverage across the entire surface, tenacious adhesion that resists peeling, and extended service life. The reaction between the steel substrate and the molten zinc creates a zinc-iron alloy layer that is exceptionally dense. This intermediate layer, combined with the outer pure zinc coating and the inner steel core, forms a composite barrier that offers outstanding protection against corrosion in demanding environments.
