PPGL steel coil starts with galvalume steel as its base. Through chemical degreasing and conversion treatment, the surface is prepared, followed by the application of one or multiple layers of organic coating. After baking and curing, the coating bonds firmly. This organic layer works alongside the existing alu-zinc protection, offering extra coverage and anti-rust performance. As a result, the service life of PPGL is roughly 1.5 times longer than that of standard galvalume steel coil.
This prepainted galvalume steel coil meets multiple standards including AISI, ASTM, BS, DIN, GB, and JIS. Grades like Dx51d, G550, and S350GD are available, and we can also supply any grade the customer requests. Color options follow RAL standards or match provided samples.
Thickness runs from 0.12mm to 0.4mm. Width is fully customizable, while length and coil weight are determined by each order. Coil inner diameter comes in 508mm or 610mm. Alu-zinc coating ranges between 40 and 275 g/m². Film thickness is typically 15/5 μm but can be adjusted per customer needs. Coating types include PE, HDP, SMP, and PVDF.
The structure has four layers. At the top is a finishing topcoat that gives color, a pleasing look, and a protective film for long life. Under it, a primer coat prevents paint from undercutting and improves rust resistance. Next comes a pretreatment layer for strong adhesion and added corrosion protection. The base is steel sheet.
